
On August 30, on the International Day of the Missing, the head of the Chuguiv City Military Administration, Halyna Minaeva, held a meeting with relatives and friends of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who are considered missing during hostilities.
The event was a meaningful and important step towards strengthening communication between the authorities and the families of the defenders. In particular, the head of the public organization "Side by Side" Ihor Shyshko, the chief specialist of the Supreme Council Commissioner for Human Rights Maksym Tsvelikh and the head of the legal support service of the Chuhuiv City Council Volodymyr Gorshkov took part in it. During the meeting, the issues of searching for the missing, communication with relevant state structures, document processing, psychological and legal support for families and even their medical care were discussed.
Relatives shared their experiences, talked about their experience of communicating with state structures and the need for legal assistance. Galina Minaeva emphasized that the city authorities will make every effort to help every family that is in a state of uncertainty due to the disappearance of a loved one at the front. «We will not leave any family alone with pain and anxiety. Every defender is important. We must do everything to support loved ones and find answers to their questions,» noted the head of the Chuguiv MVA. The participants of the event thanked the community leadership for their attention to the painful topic for them and expressed hope for further systemic support.
