On August 30, on the International Day of the Missing, a moving ceremony was held in Chuguiv to open the symbolic "Tree of Hope", dedicated to all soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who are considered missing.
The event was attended by relatives of the defenders, community representatives, as well as the head of the city military administration, Galina Minaeva.
She expressed her support for the families of the heroes and emphasized that the city remembers everyone who gave their lives for the Motherland or whose fate is still unknown.
«The Tree of Hope has become a symbol of faith in the return of the missing, hope for their families, and gratitude from the entire community. It was created as a place of remembrance and common prayer, where everyone can remember and honor the soldiers who disappeared while defending Ukraine.
The event was held in a touching atmosphere of unity, support, and sincere emotions. The participants of the ceremony tied symbolic ribbons to the "Tree of Hope", honoring the heroes whose feat is known to every Ukrainian, but, unfortunately, their fate is still unknown...
