The decision to change the duration of the curfew in the region was made during a meeting of the Defense Council of the Kharkiv Region, chaired by the head of the KHOV, Oleg Synegubov.

According to the decision, the curfew will last from 00:00 to 05:00. The changes came into effect on the night of August 16-17. At the same time, the decision does not apply to communities in the region, where a local enhanced curfew has been introduced due to the security situation.

«"The issue of reducing the curfew has been repeatedly raised by representatives of business and retail during meetings of the platform "Dialogue between Government and Business". We have considered this proposal in detail with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense, the Security Service of Ukraine, and the Ministry of Economy. We also studied the experience of neighboring front-line regions, where the curfew is introduced from 00:00 to 05:00. The implementation of such a decision in the Kharkiv region will allow entrepreneurs to increase working hours, which will positively affect the economic climate of the region," said Oleg Synegubov.

One of the issues on the agenda is compliance with security measures during the celebration of the National Flag Day and Independence Day of Ukraine on August 23-24, as well as the Day of the Hero City of Kharkiv.

«"During public holidays, as in previous years, law enforcement officers will work in an intensified mode," said Petro Tokar, head of the Main Police Department in the Kharkiv region.

The meeting participants considered the issue of implementing measures to evacuate families with children in a forced manner. The Zolochiv village military administration is initiating the expansion of the evacuation zone, which covers the village of Odnorobivka, Bogodukhov district. Due to the security situation in the settlement, 2 families with 5 children aged 5 to 12 years need to be evacuated.

«"In cooperation with the Coordination Humanitarian Center, we will provide the evacuees with all the necessary assistance - food, legal, psychological. If necessary, we will provide families with temporary housing," said Ivan Sokol, director of the Civil Defense Department of the Kharkiv Regional Emergency Management Agency.
