This was discussed at a training for adoptive parents, foster parents, guardians and caretakers on the topic: "Increasing the level of resilience to traumatic events", which took place on July 30 at the Resilience Center.
The event was held within the framework of the UNICEF project "Strengthening Alternative Care through Support for Better Care Reform in Kharkiv Region" and aimed to provide participants with practical tools for maintaining internal balance and support in stressful situations.
During the meeting, psychologist Olena Zima said:
- What is resilience and what does it consist of?
- How thoughts and beliefs affect the ability to overcome difficulties
- how to stabilize your emotional state and restore your internal resources
- What practices help reduce anxiety levels?
Participants had the opportunity to share their own experiences, ask questions, and practice self-help skills in a safe circle of support.
