The Department of Social Protection of the Population of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration informs about important changes in the program of compensation for the costs of arranging workplaces for people with disabilities. From now on, the program has become more accessible and covers more categories of citizens.
What has changed?
According to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated February 21, 2025 No. 273, which entered into force on March 18, 2025, the conditions for providing compensation have been expanded. Now the right to financial support is open to:
- Individuals – entrepreneurs and self-employed persons with disabilities – to arrange your own workplace.
- Employers, that create or adapt jobs for veterans with disabilities, who have returned to work. Previously, compensation was provided only upon new employment.
Program results in Kharkiv region
According to the Kharkiv Regional Employment Center, since the beginning of 2025, it has already been equipped 34 jobs for people with disabilities in 28 employers regions. The total amount of funding amounted to almost 2.9 million UAH. Among the program participants are enterprises from Berestyn, Bogodukhiv, Vysochan, Zmiiv, Lozov, Sakhnovshchyna, Posochyn communities and the city of Kharkiv.

Creating accessible jobs for people with disabilities is:
- Social integration and the opportunity to realize professional potential.
- Part of the National Strategy to create a barrier-free space in Ukraine by 2030.
How to use the program?
Employers and able-bodied persons with disabilities (including internally displaced persons, veterans, and military personnel who have retired to the reserve) should:
1.Contact your local employment office for consultation.

3. Submit the required documents to receive compensation.
