Professional adaptation for persons discharged or discharged from military service from among war veterans and their family members

The procedure and conditions for ensuring social and professional adaptation of persons discharged or dismissed from military service from among war veterans, persons with special merits before the Motherland, family members of such persons, family members of deceased war veterans, family members of deceased Defenders of Ukraine, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated June 21, 2017 No. 432 (as amended) A unified mechanism for ensuring professional adaptation of war veterans and their family members has been adopted. This mechanism is designed to help military personnel and their families return to civilian life, meet their educational needs, and increase their competitiveness in the labor market.

 The above-mentioned legislative acts provide for the introduction of various levels of retraining, advanced training, and the possibility of developing and implementing short-term educational programs for professions in demand on the labor market:

  • training, retraining and advanced training in a working profession, including advanced training under educational programs/working educational programs;
  • training, retraining and advanced training of vehicle drivers by institutions accredited in accordance with the procedure established by law;
  • obtaining another specialty based on a previously obtained degree (level) of education, advanced training, specialization, including with a shortened period of study;
  • obtaining a second (master's) level of higher education based on the first (bachelor's) level of higher education. The cost of such training should not exceed fifteen times the subsistence minimum for able-bodied persons, determined by law at the time of admission to an educational institution (in 2025 this is UAH 45,420).

To exercise the right to undergo professional adaptation, you must contact the reception office of the Department of Social Protection of the Population of the Chuguiv City Council at the address: Chuguiv, Staronikolska Street, 20, section A, to submit an application of the established form.
