From May 19 to 25, Ukraine will host the first National Accessibility Week - an important initiative designed to draw attention to creating an accessible and inclusive society for everyone!
In times of war and future reconstruction, the issue of accessibility becomes particularly acute. The growing number of people with disabilities makes access to basic needs and rights even more important.

Libraries have always been centers of knowledge and accessibility. Librarians support the idea of accessibility, because it is about equal opportunities for everyone, regardless of physical or cognitive characteristics. It is about access to education, information, and public space.
Accessibility is not just about ramps and elevators, it's about a culture of respect and equality. Together, we are building a future where everyone feels comfortable and has equal opportunities!
The youth branch library has set up an information shelf for this event, "Barrier-free - it concerns everyone," which reminds us: inclusion begins with small steps - with attention, respect, and a willingness to hear and understand others. Because barrier-free affects each of us - and we can change the world today.
