
Serhiy was born on July 12, 1989 in the city of Chuguiv, in 2004 he graduated from the secondary school of I-II degrees No. 4 of the city of Chuguiv, and in 2007 he graduated from the Chuguiv-Babchansky Forestry College with a degree in hunting science. During 2008-2010 he served in the military service and military service under contract as part of the 92nd separate mechanized brigade as a rangefinder. After completing military service under contract, he worked in a private company as a jeweler.



On May 21, 2022, he was mobilized by the Poltava OMTCK and SP and served as part of the 2nd self-propelled artillery division of the 1st separate tank Siverskaya brigade as a reconnaissance-rangefinder of the battery commander's department of the self-propelled artillery battery. He and his comrades performed combat missions in the Zaporizhia direction, in the battles for the Vremiivskyi salient, and since the summer of 2024 he participated in the Kursk operation.



The soldier is survived by his mother, Lyubov Mykolaivna Matvienko, brother, Volodymyr Pavlovich Lomako, sister, Yulia Igorevna Kobzar, wife, Yulia Aleksandrovna Lomako, and son, Danylo, born in 2020. They live in the city of Chuguiv.

Circumstances of death:
Having sworn an oath of allegiance to the Ukrainian people, having courageously fulfilled his military duty in the battle for Ukraine, its freedom and independence, Serhiy died on March 17, 2025 near the settlement of Hrunivka, Sumy region. While performing a combat mission, his squad came under fierce enemy fire. A fire broke out, and Serhiy received injuries incompatible with life.
Serhiy was buried on March 21, 2025 in the city of Chuguev on the Alley of Memory.


During his service, Serhiy was awarded the Honorary Breastplate of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "GOLDEN CROSS" (order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine No. 2525 dated 10/29/2023.
