The "Own Business" program, implemented by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the State Employment Service, provides entrepreneurs with the opportunity to receive a grant to start or develop their own business.
If you have already received a grant under this program and intend to change the direction of expenses, it is important to follow certain procedures to ensure that these changes are agreed upon and legitimate.
Sometimes grantors do not pay enough attention to this and believe that informing the employment center about the change in the purpose of grant funds is not necessary. However, there is a clear procedure provided for by law, and it is important to complete all stages correctly.
Here are a few steps to follow:
- Write an application in any form (suitable for perceiving its content) to the regional employment center or submit it through the recipient's account on the Action Portal.
- In the application, explain why you want to change the intended use of funds, indicate your contact details and email. Forming an application to change the intended use of a microgrant on the Action Portal ends with an electronic signature (ES).
- Attach an updated business plan (taking into account the proposed changes) to the application.
Please note! Applications for changing the purpose of a microgrant submitted without a business plan will not be considered.
The State Employment Center will review your application at the next commission meeting and make a decision to amend or reject it. The regional employment center and authorized bank will be notified of this in order to resume financing.
The appropriate decision will be sent to you via the Action Portal or by email. In case of refusal, you can resubmit your application with a justification for the changes.
The State Employment Center shall notify the authorized bank within five business days of the date of a positive decision on the change in the target purpose.
Important! Changes to the intended use of funds will be taken into account only after all these steps have been completed.
