The Ukrainian Veterans Fund, the Lobby X recruitment platform, and the SoftServe IT company announce the start of recruitment for the free “DevOps Fundamentals” course for veterans, military personnel, their family members, and families of fallen defenders.
The course program includes:
- basics of working with Git/GitHub;
- Linux: file system structure and basic administration tasks;
- Bash and PowerShell scripting languages;
- Network support concepts: protocols, IP addresses, subnetting, and routing;
- working with popular continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions;
- cloud providers IaaS, PaaS/Hosting;
- working with AWS, Azure and GCP services;
- artifacts in DevOps and their role in development;
- soft skills – skills needed to work in the IT industry;
- job search tips, resume preparation, etc.
The knowledge gained during the course will help you master the basics of DevOps, work with databases, configure the work environment, and optimize the project deployment process. This will allow future DevOps specialists to more effectively implement changes and automate processes at every stage of development.
Classes will be held twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on the Zoom platform. Experienced mentors will explain the theoretical foundations, as well as analyze practical work and check homework.
The lectures will be available in recording for those who were unable to join online.
The course starts on February 3, and lasts 9 weeks.
What you need for training:
- laptop (computer), internet access, time to do homework.
Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate.
