
According to the emergency medical service, 11 cases of carbon monoxide poisoning were recorded in December. Five adults died. Another six victims received all the necessary medical care, and there is currently no threat to their health.
Such tragedies are often caused by fires caused by violations of the rules for the installation and operation of stoves and heaters.
According to the State Emergency Service, in December 2024, about 756 cases of such fires were recorded, which is 201% of the total number of fires.
Given the shelling of infrastructure and possible problems with power supply, the State Emergency Service and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine remind of the risks that the use of such equipment may cause, and how to help victims in case of carbon monoxide poisoning.
