
Born on 08.08.1994 in the city of Kharkiv. From the age of 5, Oleksandr lived in the village of Kamyana Yaruga. Until the 8th grade, he studied at Kamyana Yaruga secondary school, then at school No. 104 in Kharkiv and at evening school.


After studying, he worked in factories and construction. Oleksandr was mobilized in August 2023 through the Industrial RCTC and the JV of the city of Kharkiv.


He served as a soldier in the 80th separate airborne assault Galician brigade as a mortarman. He participated in military operations in the Zaporizhia and Donetsk directions. Since September 1, 2024, he has been performing combat missions in the Kursk region as part of the brigade.

Marital status:
The Hero is survived by his mother, Elena Vladimirovna Travkina, stepfather, Alexander Viktorovich Travkin, and two brothers: Alexei Alexandrovich Travkin and Yegor Alexandrovich Travkin, who live in the village of Kamyana Yaruga, and his son, Maksym Alexandrovich Shishov, born in 2013, who lives in the city of Kharkiv.

Circumstances of death:
Oleksandr died on September 20, 2024 from shrapnel wounds during combat near the village of Cherkasskoye Porichne, Sudzhansky District, Kursk Oblast, Russian Federation.
On September 24, 2024, Alexander Yurievich Shishov was buried in the cemetery of the village of Kamyana Yaruga.

Awarded the Order of the President of Ukraine "For the Defense of Ukraine".
