One of the most effective programs to support veteran entrepreneurs and their family members remains e-Work. Participants in combat operations can receive a «Grant for Veterans and Their Family Members» to develop an existing business or create a new one. The grant amount does not exceed 1 million hryvnia. The main condition is the creation of new jobs and employment of veterans.
«"Grants for own business and for the development of veteran businesses are an effective mechanism for helping entrepreneurs, restoring the economy of the Kharkiv region, and creating new jobs. We continue to work with relevant ministries and structural divisions to improve the conditions for providing state grants to residents of the region and are working on local programs," said Oleg Synegubov, head of the Kharkiv OVA.
In the past, Kirill Kuzminov, as part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, fought off Russian occupiers in the East of the country. Now the man is developing his own business - a tool shop and a service center for their maintenance. The man started the business with his own money and with the support of the «Grant for Veterans and Their Families». Under the terms, Kirill hired 3 employees, 2 of whom were combatants. Currently, the entrepreneur has one more vacant position.
«"To start a business, I invested over 700 thousand hryvnias of my own funds and received 1 million as part of the e-Work program. With this money, we built a store from scratch, purchased equipment for a tool service center, purchased goods for sale, and provided landscaping around the store," said Kyrylo Kuzminov.
The entrepreneur believes it is necessary to develop the veteran business sector to create new jobs for combatants. This not only supports the country's economy, but also contributes to the reintegration of soldiers into civilian life.
«"As a person who gave his time and health to defend the Motherland, I want to stay in the Kharkiv region, develop my business and rebuild the region. My brothers and sisters also hold this position. I am convinced that as many useful regional projects as possible will be created for veterans so that participants in the hostilities can develop and create their own business. And we, in turn, are ready for fruitful cooperation and discussions," added Kyrylo Kuzminov.
