Every day, rescuers of the State Emergency Service eliminate fires in open areas. Most of them are caused by the human factor: careless handling of fire or deliberate arson - burning dry grass and garbage.
Such fires spread very quickly over a significant area, especially in dry, windy weather, destroy hectares of forest, harm the environment, can cause fires in residential buildings and structures, and even cause injuries and deaths.
Burning dead wood in no way affects soil fertility, but on the contrary, it harms it!
Rescuers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine urge not to provoke fires in ecosystems! Remember that even a small fire can cause a large-scale fire, the elimination of which requires a lot of time and resources.
Important! In the conditions of a full-scale war in Ukraine, such fires are becoming an additional burden on the specialists of the State Emergency Service. Instead of eliminating the consequences of the Russian military aggression and saving people, emergency workers are forced to go out to extinguish fires with dry firewood.
We urge you not to help the enemy! Strictly follow fire safety rules and do not provoke fires in natural ecosystems!
Be especially careful in de-occupied territories, where most fields and forests are potentially dangerous. Therefore, burning dry grass can lead to the detonation of explosive objects left there after hostilities and, as a result, to tragic incidents.
We emphasize that burning dry vegetation is subject to administrative and criminal liability!
