According to the provisions of this Law, mothers and wives of military personnel who died (died) during military service (performance of official duties) have the right to an early retirement pension upon reaching the age of 50, provided that they have an insurance record of at least 20 years.
Upon reaching the age of 55, parents and spouses are granted a survivor's pension for a deceased serviceman, regardless of the length of insurance experience.
In addition, this category of dependents is entitled to a survivor's pension if they are entitled to:

- early retirement by age (upon reaching 55 years of age (men), 50 years of age (women) provided that there is 25 and 20 years of service, respectively);
- old-age pension on preferential terms;
- pension with a reduced retirement age in accordance with the law, or are persons with disabilities.
The survivor's pension for military personnel who died while performing military service is set at the following amounts:
- 70% cash support for the deceased breadwinner - parents (one of the parents), wife/husband, regardless of the presence of other disabled family members. In this case, the minimum pension payment cannot be less than 7,800 UAH;
- 70% of cash support for the deceased breadwinner - for a child. For two or more children - 50% of cash support (but not less than 6,100 UAH for each).
Regardless of the cause of the breadwinner's death, the minimum (2 subsistence minimums for disabled persons) and maximum (10 subsistence minimums for disabled persons) amounts of the survivor's pension are applied to each disabled family member separately.
