The transition to winter and summer time takes place in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 509 dated May 13, 1996 “On the Procedure for Calculating Time on the Territory of Ukraine”.
Every year on the last Sunday of March at 3 a.m., the clock is moved forward 1 hour, and on the last Sunday of October at 4 a.m., it is moved back 1 hour.
The time in effect in Ukraine in winter is natural for the territory of our state and corresponds to its geographical location, and from the last Sunday of March to the last Sunday of October, daylight saving time is introduced in order to effectively use the daylight hours.
