On August 23, the village of Kamyana Yaruga celebrated the Day of the Foundation of the village of Kamyana Yaruga, the Day of the National Flag, and the Independence Day of Ukraine. This meeting took place thanks to our courageous defenders who heroically defend our country from the Russian aggressor. The residents of Kamyana Yaruga received congratulations from the head of the Chuguiv city military administration, Galina Minaeva, and the deputy mayor - head of the executive committee, Lyudmila Makarenko. The attendees were delighted with their creativity by the employees of the CC "Image" and the Chuguiv music school.

Usually, on such important holidays, they summarize the work of enterprises and organizations, award honorary distinctions to the best people in the community. In Kam'yana Yaruz, they also did not deviate from these traditions and every year they gathered in the central square of the village and celebrated the best, and they also celebrated loudly and brightly. But that was before the war. During the full-scale war, the format of celebrating public holidays, unfortunately, changed. They moved from the large square of the village to the premises, and the number of guests decreased several times, and the cheerful songs no longer sounded at all.

But the main thing is that there are the best, those who can be noted and to whom we can say: "Thank you!" And this time it was benefactors. People of different genders, different professions, different age categories, but they were all united by a common goal - the victory of Ukraine over Russia.

The event brought together the village's active people and those who have been actively helping and supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine for almost a year, donating the most to fundraising, to thank them not only through social networks, but to look them in the eye and with respect, and from the bottom of our hearts say "Thank you!" for their help, for their support, for their faith and trust. And to sincerely congratulate them on the main holidays of our country.

At the festive event, they recalled: where they started, who and how they helped, and what the result is. Over 10 months of charitable work in the village, 11 village fundraisers were organized, raising a total of almost 345 thousand hryvnias. During this time, the villagers sent 1,150 trench candles to the military, spending 350 kg of paraffin and wax on them, delivered about 200 kilograms of food, collected funds for spare parts for cars and medicines, purchased 2 charging stations, 2 Starlinks, three portable radios, and 24 turnstiles.

About 1,000 people joined the village meeting. Both Kamianyaruzh residents and internally displaced persons, who during the full-scale war became fellow villagers for Kamianyaruzh residents, participated in it. Residents donated both to bank cards and put money in boxes that were in stores, at the post office, and in the premises of the village headman. Donations from benefactors ranged from 1 hryvnia to 6,000 thousand hryvnias. The village headman, Olga Mykhaylova, kept saying that there are no small donations, that every hryvnia is important, every hryvnia is a contribution to victory.

But there are those who donated the largest amounts, which is why they were recognized at the event. They received Certificates of Gratitude from Halyna Minaeva for volunteer work aimed at supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine, active public position, patriotism, and on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine and the Day of the village of Kam'yana Yaruga.
