For the second year in a row, masters of the brush are happy to work and communicate online. In 2024, 26 artists from different cities of Ukraine, as well as Latvia and Poland, will take part in the International Repin Plein Air. Among them are participants who have already visited our city and repeatedly painted beautiful Chuguiv landscapes from nature, and there are also those who joined this cultural event for the first time.
Let us remind you that this year the plein air is dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the birth of our compatriot, the world-famous artist Ilya Repin. Therefore, it is no coincidence that the main theme for the artists was the slogan: «… Ukraine is alive in songs and paintings». After all, it is well known that Ilya Yefimovich loved his hometown, his small homeland, extremely much, despite the fact that he had to visit many magnificent European cities. Based on the results of their work at the plein air, its participants will donate two of their paintings to the Chuguiv community, which will be presented at the final exhibition of the XXIV International Repin Plein Air. And in the meantime, they have an extremely fruitful work ahead of them!
