In the Kharkiv region, as in most regions of Ukraine, it has become noticeably colder. Severe frosts are expected to last quite a long time, so the level of energy consumption is increasing.
By following recommendations for rational electricity consumption (especially during peak hours in the morning and evening), each of you can help balance the power system and reduce the amount of forced restrictions.
What to do to help the power system:
- do not turn on several powerful electrical appliances at the same time;
- turn off the lights in empty rooms and offices;
- Unplug electrical appliances that you are not using;
- if possible, postpone energy-intensive processes (washing, heating the boiler, operating the dishwasher) to night time - after 11:00 PM;
- limit the use of electric heaters as much as possible, do not use them during peak consumption hours in the morning and evening (08:00 - 11:00; 16:00 - 22:00);
- After the light appears according to the schedule, start using powerful electrical appliances no earlier than 20 minutes later.
The reason for the application of restrictive measures is the consequences of Russian shelling. If there had been no massive missile and drone attacks on energy facilities in October-December last year, we would have gone through a period of severe frosts without any outages at all.
Under current conditions, if every consumer makes at least minimal efforts to save electricity at home and at work, this will significantly strengthen the resilience of our energy system and make periods of forced power outages shorter.
Taking into account these simple tips is everyone's contribution to the fight against the enemy's plans to plunge Ukrainians into cold and darkness. Only together will we stand firm!
