Today, in a solemn atmosphere, high state awards were presented to the relatives of our compatriots who heroically died defending their homeland from Russian aggressors.
Master Sergeant Oleksiy Basalkevych and Private Dmytro Tarasov were posthumously awarded the Orders "For Courage" of the 3rd degree for selfless performance of military duty, and Lieutenant Colonel Yuriy Ostapenko was awarded the badges "Combatant's Cross" and "Honor and Memory".
Addressing the relatives of our hero-defenders, Deputy Mayor Lyudmila Makarenko noted that the Chuhuiv community will always be in an irreparable debt to its sons who gave their lives for each of us.
The people of Chugui sincerely sympathize with our fellow countrymen who lost the most precious thing in this damned war – their loved ones. We will never forget them!
