On November 23, Ukraine and the world commemorate the victims of the Holodomor of 1932–1933 and the mass artificial famines of 1921–1923 and 1946–1947. We remember the millions of human lives that Ukraine lost as a result of the Holodomor and mass artificial famines.
This year, for the third time, we will commemorate the victims of communist genocide in the context of Russia's full-scale genocidal war against Ukraine. The tragic events we are experiencing demonstrate that living memory is extremely important; those who commit crimes against humanity must be condemned by the international community, and the victims must be duly honored.
We call on everyone to remember during the National Minute of Silence on November 23 at 4:00 PM the millions of human lives that Ukraine lost due to the Holodomor and mass artificial famines. We also ask that with the onset of darkness, light candles of remembrance on windowsills, wherever you are. After all, every light in a window is an expression of our grief, memory, and faith in the future.
Eternal memory to the innocently murdered and starving Ukrainians!
