In accordance with the Procedure for conducting trade activities and rules for trade services in the consumer goods market, approved by the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 15.06.2006 No. 833, a mandatory requirement for conducting retail trade is the presence of a buyer's corner in a visible and accessible place in the store premises. Such a stand should be placed in a prominent place in such a way that the buyer has the opportunity to approach it, inspect it and get acquainted with the necessary information.
“Buyer's Corner” - an information stand with regulated information to inform and protect the interests of consumers must contain the following information:
- the name of the owner (individual entrepreneur, LLC, private enterprise, etc.) or the body authorized by him;
- addresses and telephone numbers of bodies that ensure consumer rights protection;
- a license has been obtained for the right to retail alcoholic beverages and tobacco products, which complies with the requirements established by law.
At the request of the consumer (buyer), the responsible employee of the business entity must provide him with the above-mentioned Procedure, the Law of Ukraine “On Protection of Consumer Rights”, sanitary standards, and rules for the sale of certain types of goods in accordance with the specialization of the business entity.
All information in the consumer corner must be up-to-date and provided in accordance with the norms of the Law of Ukraine “On Ensuring the Functioning of the Ukrainian Language as the State Language”».
Placed in a prominent and accessible place, a properly designed consumer corner clearly demonstrates the legality of the business entity's activities, a responsible attitude towards compliance with the requirements of the law and consumer rights, as well as openness and friendliness towards the consumer!
