In the 2025–2026 academic year, more than 12 thousand children will enter the first grade in the Kharkiv region. With the assistance of the Kharkiv OVA, registration and payments of financial support under the state program "Schoolchild Package" are ongoing in the region.
«"Our goal is to ensure that parents of first-graders receive appropriate state support at the beginning of the school year, and that children have everything they need for a confident and comfortable start to school. We thank the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky for the initiative and the Government for supporting communities," said Oleg Synegubov, head of the Kharkiv OVA.
As of August 29, more than 5,100 schoolchildren in the Kharkiv region received payments totaling over 24 million hryvnias. Parents can submit an application for payment online through the Diya application or offline at the service center of the Pension Fund of Ukraine. After verification, the assistance is sent to a bank card or Diya.Card.
«We learned about the program from school groups. There were no difficulties — through “Diya” everything is clear and accessible. The funds were credited 9 days after submitting the application. In our class, most parents have already received payments,» said Hanna Krasnomovets, the mother of a first-grader at the Podvirsky Lyceum of the Solonytsivka Village Council.
The funds can be spent on school supplies, children's clothes and shoes. Payment is made cashless in stores and online.
Businesses can also join the program by offering their goods and services to first-graders — participation is open to all retail outlets that meet the conditions of the state program. The deadline for submitting applications is November 15, inclusive.
