

Dmytro was born on October 12, 2001 in the city of Chuguiv. In 2017, he graduated from secondary school No. 1, and in 2020, from Chuguiv vocational school No. 53, and received the specialty of agricultural tractor driver and mechanic, agricultural machinery repairman.
Since childhood, Dmitry was actively involved in skateboarding. According to his aunt, "Dmitry loved skateboarding for its freedom of movement, speed, and the opportunity to express himself creatively. He was one of the best skateboarders in the city, and he got a feeling of endless satisfaction when he managed to perform the long-awaited tricks he had worked hard on.".


In the fall of 2020, he was drafted by the Chuguiv RTCC and SP for military service. Initially, he studied at the training center of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After training, he was sent to serve in the 156th Maksym Kryvonos Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment (military unit A1402) with the place of deployment - Zolotonosha in Cherkasy region for the position of gunner. Later, he began military service under a contract.


Dmytro faced full-scale war as part of the 44th Separate Artillery Brigade named after Hetman Danylo Apostol as a mechanic-driver-electrician, to which he was seconded from the brigade. As part of this brigade, he performed combat missions during the Ukrainian combined arms operation on the border territory of Russia in the Kursk region.




In January 2025, he was transferred to the 503rd Separate Marine Battalion, which was carrying out combat missions in the Pokrovsky direction, to the position of senior rifleman-operator of the marine detachment of the marine platoon of the marine company.

Dmytro lost his mother early. He was survived by his father, grandmother, grandfather, aunt, cousin, niece, who loved him very much, and loyal friends.



Circumstances of death:
During January-April 2025, many combat clashes took place daily in the Pokrovsky direction. As part of the troops that had been stopping the aggressor's assault actions in the area of the settlement of Kotlyne for several months, defenders from the 503rd separate battalion of the Marine Corps conducted combat operations, including assault operations. Among them was Dmitry Yeremenko, who heroically died on April 17, 2025 during another assault operation conducted by his unit on the outskirts of the settlement of Kotlyne, Pokrovsky district, Donetsk region.
Dmytro Yeremenko was buried on April 23, 2025 in the city of Chuguev on the Alley of Memory with full military honors.


In accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 609/2025 dated August 22, 2025, for personal courage shown in protecting the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, selfless performance of military duty, Dmytro Eremenko was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the 3rd degree (posthumously). The state award was presented to the family of the fallen soldier - father, grandmother and grandfather - by Igor Shepelev, Deputy Head of the Chuguiv City Military Administration, and Volodymyr Fedotov, Deputy Head of the Chuguiv RTCC and SP.
