Outbreaks of foot-and-mouth disease and bluetongue have been recorded in EU countries. As a result, there are high risks of diseases being introduced into Ukraine.
The Main Department of the State Service for Food and Consumer Protection in the Kharkiv region has created a "hotline" to receive calls from citizens of the region in case of suspicions of foot-and-mouth disease or bluetongue in animals. 24/7 and free for citizens.
This number is: +38(099)–092–31–44.
We appeal to animal owners: everyone should be extra careful at this time. Farmers and animal owners should be extremely vigilant and carefully monitor their animals for timely detection of symptoms of the disease. In case of suspicion, immediately contact the "hotline".
