Ukrainian youth have the opportunity to receive support for implementing their business ideas thanks to a youth grant under the "Own Business" program.
This is a government grant program of the Ministry of Economy, administered by the State Employment Service, and provides financial assistance for creating or developing a business.
Young people can receive financial support to launch their own business projects. Since the start of the youth grant in September 2024, 460 new businesses have already been launched. The program provides financial support at the start of business development, covering the costs of equipment, rent and other necessary things to get started.
Terms of participation
Grants are available to young people aged 18-25 who have a clear business idea and are ready to implement it. You can receive up to UAH 150,000 without any obligation to create jobs, simply by registering as an individual entrepreneur. After three years, you can apply for a larger micro-grant of UAH 500,000, provided that at least two jobs are created.
To receive a grant, you must:
1. Create a statement and business plan.
2. Submit documents through the Diya portal.
3. Go through an interview at the regional employment center.
4. Wait for the decision from the PES. A notification about the results will be sent to your personal account in "Diya".
5. Sign a microgrant agreement and open an account.
