The new week, unfortunately, for the Chuguiv community, begins with bad news. Last night, Russian aggressors shelled the Chuguiv neighborhood with private housing with cluster munitions, said Galina Minaeva, head of the Chuguiv city military administration.
– As a result of this barbaric action, we have a large number of victims, including children aged 1, 6, 10 and 12. The shelling also resulted in damage to the homes and property of our compatriots. All of them will be provided with the necessary assistance, – assured the head of the MBA. – Thank you for the efficiency and professionalism of all our emergency services, whose employees, risking their own lives, are the first to come to the aid of the victims.
According to police, at around 3:17 a.m., the Russian armed forces launched strikes with Tornado-S multiple rocket launchers on Chuguev. As a result of the shelling, a fire broke out in a private house. Two civilians sought medical attention. They have an acute stress reaction. A family in another household also needed medical attention. The man had shrapnel wounds to his lower limbs from glass, and the woman and four children had an acute stress reaction. Medical assistance was provided on the spot.
Investigative teams, forensic scientists, and explosives technicians are working at the sites of enemy munitions impacts. They are interviewing witnesses and victims, and documenting the latest war crimes committed by the Russians.
Investigators initiated criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for violation of the laws and customs of war.
