The Chuguiv District Police Department reported that since the beginning of the year, 41 accidents have occurred on the roads of Chuguiv and the district. Of this number, 4 were road accidents with victims, resulting in four deaths and four injuries of varying severity.

In addition, police officers identified 76 drivers who were driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and issued administrative reports against them.

The police of the Chuguiv region are carrying out a set of preventive measures to control road safety in order to reduce the number of road accidents, prevent them, and prevent them.

The number of patrol police response team crews has been increased, and community police officers have been involved in the most accident-prone sections of roads and in areas with a high concentration of accidents, including those with fatalities and injuries.

The police pay special attention to identifying drivers who are driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

All consequences of driving vehicles by drivers who are intoxicated are provided for by current legislation, in particular, Article 130 (Driving vehicles or vessels by persons who are in a state of alcoholic, narcotic or other intoxication or under the influence of medications that reduce their attention and reaction speed) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses and Article 286-1 (Violation of road traffic safety rules or transport operation by persons who drive vehicles in a state of intoxication) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The police note that the refusal of a person driving a vehicle to undergo an examination for alcohol, drug or other intoxication, or for the use of medications that reduce attention and reaction speed, in accordance with the established procedure, entails administrative liability.

The police are urging drivers to never drive while intoxicated. They are also appealing to passengers to never get into a car if you suspect it is being driven by a drunk driver!

The police once again draw the attention of both drivers and pedestrians. Road safety, first of all, depends on self-awareness, responsibility and respectful attitude towards each other. Now the situation on the roads may worsen due to weather conditions. Therefore, the police emphasize the need for strict and clear compliance with traffic rules. Remember, not only your life and health depends on this, but also the safety of your relatives and loved ones.
