On February 18, prevention specialists held an information and awareness-raising event with social workers of the Territorial Center for Social Services (Provision of Social Services) of the Chuguiv City Council. Prevention in the healthcare system has always been a priority, and therefore workers in various industries must have sufficient information about disease prevention.
The speakers of the meeting were Valeriy Viktorovych Budyonny, a specialist in antimicrobial resistance and infection control, an epidemiologist of the Department of Epidemiological Surveillance and Prevention of Infectious Diseases of the Chuguiv Branch of the State Kharkiv Central Center for Epidemiology and Prevention of Infectious Diseases of the Ministry of Health, and Olena Viktorovna Isichko, a sanitary paramedic of the Department of Epidemiological Surveillance and Prevention of Non-communicable Diseases. Social workers were informed in an accessible form about modern possibilities for prevention and protection of their health.
During the meeting, the following topics were discussed: "Rabies Prevention", "National Program "Health Screening 40+" and "Prevention of Cancer Diseases".
Warning booklets and posters were also distributed to event participants.
