On July 30, the Chuhuiv community conducted the last rites of the courageous Defender of Ukraine, Ignatiev Mykhailo Viktorovych.
Mykhailo Ignatiev was born on November 20, 1982 in the village of Kochetok. He spent his childhood and youth here. In 1998, he graduated from Kochetok Secondary School, and later studied at Vocational School No. 53 in the city of Chuguev, where he obtained the profession of a manual electric welder and body straightener. Since 2003, he has worked as a framer at the Kharkivvodokanal enterprise in the village of Kochetok.
In March 2025, Mykhailo joined the defense of Ukraine. Since May 2025, he served in the 46th separate airmobile brigade as a rifleman - assistant grenade launcher.
In July 2025, while performing a combat mission near the settlement of Alekseyevka, Volnovakha district, Donetsk region, as a result of enemy artillery fire, the Defender went missing. Unfortunately, a year later the worst was confirmed - Mykhailo Ignatiev died while returning home "on the shield.".
He will forever remain 42 years old...
Today, the Hero was paid his last respects. After the farewell ceremony, Mikhail Ignatiev was buried at the Kochetok cemetery.
