According to the Main Department of the State Service for Food and Consumer Protection in the Kharkiv region, pest foci have been detected on non-arable lands in Lozovsky and other districts of the region. The number of larvae currently ranges from 0.5 to 2 individuals per square meter.
Farmers are recommended to conduct inspections of crops, perennial grasses, pastures, and other lands for timely detection of locusts and assessment of their level of damage.
Particular attention should be paid to non-arable lands and areas near agricultural crops.
Protective measures are recommended only if the economic threshold of harmfulness is exceeded and with mandatory compliance with regulations for the use of plant protection products and safety requirements.
