The first meeting within the framework of the "Community Capacity Building Laboratory" project took place in the Chuhuiv community«

On July 8, the first meeting within the framework of the "Community Capacity Building Laboratory" project was held in the Chuhuyiv community, which united five communities of the Kharkiv region around the preparation of investment development projects.

The event began with a presentation of the project, during which the team of the Urban Reform Spatial Development Office introduced the participants to the goal, main stages of the initiative's implementation, and approaches to joint community development planning.

The practical part of the meeting took the form of a design game. Participants – city council employees, representatives of public and youth organizations – worked to identify the strengths of the Chuhuiv community, current challenges and opportunities for its further development. Needs in the areas of public spaces, social infrastructure, culture, mobility, the natural environment and the local economy were discussed.

The findings generated during the workshop will serve as the basis for determining community development priorities and preparing future investment projects aimed at its restoration and sustainable development.

The meeting was the first step in a six-month work, during which the Chuhuiv community, together with experts and representatives of other communities in the Kharkiv region, will work on the formation of high-quality project ideas that can attract investments and promote the development of the territory.

The project is implemented with the support of EU4Reconstruction, funded by the European Union and co-financed and co-implemented by Denmark, Germany, France and Lithuania.
