On the eve of Heroes' Day, a special and truly solemn event was held in the Chuhuiv community - honoring people whose courage, devotion, and love for their native land became part of the steadfastness of our community.
Today, the community talked about courage and heroism. About those who stood up to defend Ukraine with weapons in their hands. About those who saved lives under fire, supported people, and worked tirelessly for the security and future of the Chuguiv region.
During the award ceremony, the head of the Chuguiv City Military Administration, Galyna Minaeva, presented the awards "For Community Protection" and a certificate of conferring the honorary title "Honorary Citizen of the Chuguiv City Territorial Community" to people whose actions have already become part of our common history.
For special services to the community, courage and bravery, the title of "Honorary Citizen of the Chuguiv Urban Territorial Community" was awarded to Colonel, Commander of Military Unit A7048 Dmitry Bizonych. To the applause of those present, he signed the Book of Honorary Citizens of the community.
This honorary title was also awarded to Junior Sergeant, UAV pilot of the 425th separate assault regiment "Skelya", Hero of Ukraine Yulia Khnykina. Today, Yulia is performing combat missions, but she conveyed words that especially touched everyone present: it is a great honor for her to receive this title in her native Chuhuiv.
The following were awarded the Chuguiv City Council's award "For Community Protection":
• Serhiy Ponomarev – Head of the Chuguiv District Police Department;
• Andriy Shyshkov – commander of the 50th branch of the DPRC;
• Oleg Danylenko – emergency medical technician of the Emergency Medicine Center;
• Iryna Gayevska – Deputy Director of Chuguiv Central Hospital;
• Avet Avetyan – head of the Velykobabchansky district;
• Olga Bychkova – head of the Zarozhnensky district;
• Anastasia Maiboroda – head of the Kochetotsky district;
• Olga Mikhailova – head of the Kamyanoyaruz district.
These are people of different professions, but they all have one thing in common - love for Ukraine, responsibility to people, and incredible resilience.
Real Heroes live among us. These are the military, doctors, rescuers, police officers, critical infrastructure workers, volunteers, elders - everyone who remained loyal to their state and their people during times of trial.
We bow our heads to the memory of the fallen Heroes. We thank everyone who is keeping Ukraine safe today - on the front lines and in the rear.
The Chuhuyiv community remembers. The Chuhuyiv community is proud. And together we continue to fight – for life, peace, and the future of Ukraine.
