Ukraine celebrates the Day of Honoring Participants in Combat Operations on the Territory of Other States on February 15. This is a day of remembrance for the events of the war in Afghanistan, honoring all internationalist soldiers who had to perform military duty on the territory of other countries.
On the eve of the memorable date, a flower-laying ceremony was held in the square of the Defenders of the Fatherland in Chuguiv. The leadership of the Chuguiv City Military Administration and the Chuguiv City Council, together with internationalist soldiers and community residents, came to the memorial to the Chuguiv residents who died in Afghanistan to lay flowers and honor their memory with a minute of silence.
We bow our heads low to the memory of the soldiers and officers who gave their lives in the performance of their military duty. We express our deep gratitude to the defenders who are today defending Ukraine from Russian aggression. Among them are many internationalist soldiers who are currently defending Ukraine from the enemy in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, sharing their experience and knowledge with the youth. We wish you, dear participants in the hostilities, good health, well-being and most importantly - a peaceful sky above your head.
