The Chuguiv community opened a new socially important project "Wings of Opportunities", in which the head of the Chuguiv City Military Administration, Galina Minaeva, took part. The initiative united active, creative, and caring women of the community around the idea of solidarity, equality, and leadership.
«Wings of Opportunity» is not just a project, but a movement of support in which every woman has the right to be heard, influence decisions, and realize her potential. It is implemented by the public organization «Another Woman» within the framework of the NGO «Fight For Right» initiative «Leadership of Women with Disabilities in Communities» with the technical support of UN Women in Ukraine and funding from the UN Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF).
The project is based on the principle of "a woman supports a woman." The participants emphasize that disability does not limit opportunities and cannot be a reason for exclusion from active public life. Women with disabilities are full participants in social processes and should play an important role in the development of communities.
The project involves creating an inclusive space for the exchange of experience, knowledge and resources. It is important for local authorities that the results of such a dialogue are transformed into concrete solutions for the community. The mixed format - offline in Chuhuiv and online with the involvement of participants from other regions of Ukraine - will allow women with limited mobility to join and unite them regardless of their circumstances.
In a time of war, when the number of people with disabilities is growing and communities must be prepared for inclusion, Wings of Opportunity is responding to a key challenge of today - to make women with disabilities visible, heard, and influential.
The project includes leadership training events, the development of practical integration tools, a digital exhibition of stories of mutual support, and the creation of an art object of inclusion - a symbol of equality that will remain in the urban space.
As the participants themselves note, this project is about the strength that is born in solidarity, about the wings that appear thanks to support, and about communities where every woman has her place and the opportunity to influence.
