
In 2025, the theme of the competition is «I Embrace You with Words.» The competition is held in the following categories: «Poetry», «Prose», and «Master of the Word».
The Lilac May Literary Festival has gained immense popularity over its existence. Over the past 17 years, about 700 participants have taken part in it, and more than 255 participants – children and adults – have become winners.
Competition conditions
The theme of the poems and prose is: "I embrace you with words.".
Volume:
- For poems, the length must be at least 8 lines, the maximum number of poems from one person is two or three poems.
- The volume of the work is no more than 3 pages (excluding the title page).
The literary competition accepts video poetry (poetic video, poetic clip, media poetry).
Collective works can be submitted for participation in competitions.
Requirements: the poem must be written in Ukrainian, without the use of profanity.
Important: the text of the poem must be unique and not previously published anywhere.
Texts created using artificial intelligence (AI/GPT, etc.) and plagiarism are not accepted.
Deadline for submission of works: from 03/01/2025 to 05/01/2025.
The copyright to the poems belongs exclusively to the authors.
There is no age limit for authors.

The winners of the competition will be awarded with diplomas and gifts.
Works are accepted only in Ukrainian.
Creative work must contain:
- Author's full name;
- ATTENTION! Be sure to indicate the author's contact phone number;
- nomination;
- title of the work;
- the author's age;
- a short creative biography about the author;
- the name of the educational institution or place of work of the author.
Requirements for the design of the work:
- text editor – Microsoft Office Word;
- font – Times New Roman, 14 point.
Creative works that do not have the necessary information about the author, are copied or borrowed from other authors, are not allowed to participate in the poetry competition and will not be considered.
