The largest external cyberattack in recent times, if not in the entire history of our independence, has taken place on state registers, the functioning of which falls under the competence of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.

According to the First Deputy Head of the Eastern Interregional Department of the Ministry of Justice Iryna Danilchenko, the restoration of the infrastructure of the Registers system has already begun. The backup copies have been validated and the start of their restoration is expected, according to the agreed plan. Enhanced cyber protection measures are already being implemented to prevent similar incidents. According to current information, it will take about two weeks to restore work.

It is important that the data that was in the registries has backup copies. Thanks to this, the recovery will be complete and in the shortest possible time.

The Unified Register of Powers of Attorney, the Register of Special Forms of Notarial Documents, and the Inheritance Register will be restored first. Next in line are the State Register of Civil Status Acts, the Unified State Register, and the State Register of Real Rights.

Currently, all departments of the Eastern Justice are operating as usual. To ensure the continuity of service provision, alternative mechanisms based on paper media have been temporarily implemented. At the same time, as soon as the registers are restored, all actions performed outside the registers will be entered into the system.

All necessary information for citizens about the procedure for providing services is contained on the official resources of the Ministry of Justice. and Eastern Interregional Department of the Ministry of Justice.

At the same time, a free legal aid hotline operates to provide consultations to citizens: 0800 213 103. You can also contact specialists from the interregional administration in each region for clarification.
