Work with families of missing soldiers continues

As promised by the head of the Chuguiv MVA, Galyna Minaeva, at her recent meeting with the families of missing Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers, a large team of specialists who work with this category of citizens visited our community today.

At the request of the relatives of the missing soldiers, the city authorities invited representatives of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War and the International Committee of the Red Cross.

The first of these organizations provides assistance to families whose loved ones have gone missing, been captured, or died during the war. The headquarters coordinates the work of various state bodies to search for the missing, provides psychological and legal assistance to families, and helps with obtaining information about the status of a serviceman. So today, the representatives of this organization also included coordinators with the structures of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Police.

As for the Red Cross, its specificity lies in the fact that representatives of this organization have the opportunity to contact the authorities of the aggressor state, and therefore shed light on the fate of our soldiers who are in captivity.

An important point of today's meeting was that its format was not limited to the speeches of specialists - the main time was devoted to individual consultations. I really hope that it will help at least some of our compatriots to learn about the fate of their loved ones.
