Recently, along with payments for water and sewage from the municipal enterprise "Chuguyivvoda", consumers have begun to receive demands to verify water meters if their validity period has expired. Citizens are expressing indignation about this, because, according to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 440, meters whose validity period expired during the period of martial law and state of emergency remain valid.
The administration of the Chuguyivvoda municipal enterprise provided the following clarification on this matter.
Indeed, according to the resolution of April 7, 2023 No. 440, "positive results of periodic, extraordinary verification and verification after repair of legally regulated measuring instruments, certified by an imprint of the verification mark on such instruments or by a record with an imprint of the verification mark in the relevant section of operational documents and/or issued by a certificate of verification of a legally regulated measuring instrument, the validity period of which expired during the period of martial law and emergency, are valid.".
That is, if the verification period of your water meter expired after February 24, 2022, then you can choose not to verify it now. However, if this period expired before the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, then the meter should still be verified.
You can apply for unsealing and sealing of the metering device to the KP "Chuguyivvoda" at 61 Heroiv Chornobyltsiv St. (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 13:00 to 15:00, tel. (05746) 2-24-65).
If the subscriber wishes to send the meter for inspection, he/she should contact the address: Kharkiv, Khalturina St., Building 1.
On average, a new meter costs 500 UAH, unsealing and sealing - 341.10 UAH.
