Andriy was born in the village of Kochetok. He studied at the Kochetok comprehensive school, after which he entered Chuguyiv Vocational School No. 53. After completing his studies, he worked at the Chuguyiv Meat Plant. In March 2015, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He participated in the ATO, the Joint Forces Operation, defended the Motherland and during the full-scale invasion as part of the 92nd separate mechanized brigade. In 2024, he was demobilized, but at the beginning of 2025 he returned to military service as part of the 158th separate mechanized brigade as a sergeant.
He has been missing since January 2026.
Junior Sergeant Andriy Dmytrovych Kornienko died near the village of Bilytske, Pokrovsky district, Donetsk region, as a result of a serious wound while performing a combat mission.
Andriy is forever 41, he has two children left.
The Chuguiv community will never forget its defender.
