
Born on September 21, 1966 in the city of Chuguev in a family of workers. In 1983, he graduated from Chuguev comprehensive school No. 5 and entered the Technical School of Communications No. 2 in the city of Kharkiv. He graduated with honors and received a specialty "Communications installer, antenna technician", then in 1984 he entered the Simferopol Higher Military-Political School, which he graduated in 1988 and received a diploma in the specialty and qualification - history teacher. After graduating from the school, he served in the Armed Forces. At the end of 1990, he was discharged to the reserve due to staff reductions.


After being released into the reserve, he worked for some time as a history teacher at the Klugino-Bashkirivskaya comprehensive school, and then until 2000 he worked as a chief engineer at the KZhREP of the city of Chuguiv, and then worked for over 20 years at the Liliya state enterprise.
Since his school years, Oleg was an active athlete, playing football since the 10th grade. Even in adulthood, Oleg constantly participated in competitions of football veterans. In 1983, he graduated from the Chuguev Children's Sports School and received the title of public instructor and referee in basketball and football.



In March 2021, he was voluntarily drafted into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the Chuguiv RTCC and SP. He served in the 92nd separate mechanized brigade as deputy commander of the moral and psychological support company of the mechanized battalion.

In February 2022, together with his comrades, he met the enemy and from the first days actively participated in measures to ensure the defense of Ukraine. He received a medal and the status of a participant in hostilities. Directly during the full-scale war, he served as part of the 92nd separate assault brigade as deputy commander of the repair company of missile and artillery weapons for moral and psychological support of the repair and restoration battalion and officer of the psychological support and restoration group.

Circumstances of death:
On October 15, 2024, while performing his duties at a military training ground in the village of Klugino-Bashkyrivka regarding psychological support for servicemen mobilized to the brigade, Oleg Petrovych received a gunshot wound to the head. He died from the injuries received, which were incompatible with life, at the Military Medical Clinical Center of the Northern Region on October 19, 2024.
Oleg Petrovich was buried at cemetery No. 3 in Osynivka in the city of Chuguiv on October 21, 2024.
Oleg Petrovich is survived by his mother, wife, son, daughter, and three grandchildren.
