At the beginning of the discussion, Oleg Synegubov emphasized that the massive Russian shelling in Kharkiv has significantly damaged critical infrastructure. In addition, he emphasized the need for repairs in places of compact living, as the number of people in need of temporary housing is increasing due to Russian aggression.

«"The city's energy system is in a difficult situation. We are already applying emergency shutdowns, but new shelling is making the situation even more difficult. The main problem in the city right now is the destruction of energy-generating enterprises. Therefore, we have already begun preparations for the new heating season, namely: providing the city's multi-storey buildings with generators and fuel, as well as saturating the region's network with portable charging stations. For example, residents of the region can be provided with targeted funds for the purchase of solid fuel, which will speed up the process of people receiving materials," said the head of the Kharkiv OVA.

The UN Resident Coordinator in Ukraine expressed condolences over the deaths of residents of the Kharkiv region as a result of Russian shelling. She noted that support for the region will continue to help people suffering from the war.

«"Currently, we have more than 100 employees working in the Kharkiv region. We want to show other representatives of the world community by our example that it is possible and necessary to work here, that many people are returning. Of course, we are most concerned about the situation in border settlements, because they are under daily shelling," commented Denise Brown.

In particular, the meeting discussed the needs of frontline communities. As Kupyansk City Mayor Andriy Besedin added, their community began cooperation with the UN from the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion.

«"Thank you for supporting residents with food, hygiene products, and building materials for the conservation of damaged or destroyed property. This is powerful help that we constantly need," shared Andriy Besedin.
