Updated requirements for the welfare of farm animals have been in effect in Ukraine since January 1, 2026. What exactly has changed for poultry farms? How to train staff? How will state control be carried out?
The answers will be available on March 11 during the specialized online seminar "Implementation of general requirements for the welfare of farm poultry during its maintenance.".
The event is organized by the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine and the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection in cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) with the support of Switzerland within the framework of the QFTP program.
This is not just a review of the norms. These are specific explanations and algorithms of actions for market operators.
During the seminar, participants:
- understand what the implementation of Order No. 224 means for the daily work of poultry farms;
- learn how to implement general welfare requirements specifically in farms keeping different types of farm poultry;
- will analyze the procedure for issuing state certificates on the level of knowledge of personnel regarding compliance with the requirements of animal welfare legislation;
- will be able to ask questions to government officials and international experts.
The discussion will be attended by the leadership of the Ministry of Economy, the State Service for Food and Consumer Protection of Ukraine, specialized specialists, and international consultants. The format includes a live discussion and a question-and-answer session so that each farm receives practical guidelines for working under the new rules.
Who is this seminar for? For all poultry farms - from small producers to large poultry farms, as well as for specialized associations and the expert community.
