It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Yuri Andreyevich Burtsev, Honorary Citizen of the city of Chuguev, an outstanding surgeon whose life was dedicated to serving people and the development of medicine. He devoted 50 years of his life to work at the Chuguev Central Hospital named after M.I. Kononenko. The Chuguev region has lost an experienced and highly qualified doctor, an authoritative Person with a capital letter, and the family has lost a caring husband and father.
Yuri Andriyevich Burtsev belonged to a famous dynasty of doctors. He proudly bore the title of surgeon, demonstrating high professionalism, dedication to his work, and compassion for patients.
Yuri Andriyovych was born on January 7, 1950. In 1974, he graduated from the Kharkiv Medical Institute with a degree in "Medical Medicine". He began his career in 1974 as an intern surgeon at Kharkiv City Hospital No. 17. After completing his internship, he worked in his hometown since 1975 - all his work was carried out at the Chuguiv Central Hospital named after M.I. Kononenko. He worked as a surgeon, head of the surgical department, deputy chief physician for surgery, and chief physician. Since February 1, 2017, he has been the head of the surgical multidisciplinary department with beds for patients with surgical, traumatological, and otolaryngological pathologies (purulent surgery wards of all profiles), and a surgeon. During his work at the Chuguiv Central Hospital, he performed more than 8 thousand surgical interventions.
Yuriy Andriyovich Burtsev was not only a talented surgeon, but also a sensitive, kind person. Colleagues appreciated him for his wisdom, willingness to help and share his experience. Patients will remember him for the attention, care and hope that he gave in the most difficult moments.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather to his family, who were his greatest support and inspiration.
The death of Yuriy Andriyovich Burtsev is a great loss for the medical community and for the entire Chuguiv region. His name will forever remain in the history of our region and in the hearts of grateful patients.
