
Born on July 2, 1984 in Chuguiv, Kharkiv region, into a military family. In 2002, he graduated from Chuguiv secondary school No. 6, went in for sports. After graduating from school, he studied at Chuguiv vocational school No. 53. He received a welder's specialty. Before being drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he lived in the Aviator microdistrict. He began his military service in the radiation, chemical and biological protection troops in the city of Kharkiv, and was later transferred to the 92nd separate mechanized brigade. He finished his service with the rank of junior sergeant. Immediately after his discharge from military service, he signed a contract with the 203rd training aviation brigade. After the contract expired, he was discharged, and later, in 2016, he signed a contract with the 92nd separate mechanized brigade. He participated in combat operations in the ATO zone in the East. He served as a gun commander - a detachment commander of the 1st mechanized battalion.

Mother: Nataliya Volodymyrivna Pudova, lives in the city of Chuguiv.
Sister: Zagayko Svitlana Anatoliivna, lives in the city of Chuguiv.
Daughter: Vasilisa Alekseevna Pudova, born in 2015, lives in the city of Kharkiv.

Circumstances of death:
On April 28, 2017, near the city of Krasnohorivka (Donetsk region), he was seriously injured as a result of being hit by an enemy tank: multiple injuries to internal organs and a traumatic avulsion of his leg. He was taken to a military hospital in Dnipro in extremely serious condition. He underwent three operations, but his condition was assessed as extremely serious. On May 11, 2017, Oleksiy died. Everyone who knew the soldier – relatives, friends, colleagues, commanders – speak of Oleksiy as an exceptionally good person.
On May 13, 2017, he was buried in the cemetery in the city of Chuguiv.

His portrait is placed on the memorial "Wall of Memory of Those Who Fell for Ukraine" in Kyiv: section 9, row 7, seat 29.

By Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 259/2017 of September 2, 2017, "for personal courage and selfless actions shown in the defense of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, exemplary performance of military duty" he was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the III degree (posthumously). On June 1, 2017, he was awarded the Badge of People's Honor - the Order "For Courage and Bravery" (VO "Krayina").
