Dear Ukrainians!
Today, from the very morning, various regions of our country have been under air alerts and Russian strikes. From east to south. Sumy region, Chernihiv region, Kharkiv region, Dnipro region, Kherson region, Odesa region, Mykolaiv region, Zaporizhia, Donetsk region. Missiles, drone strikes, artillery. A lot of destruction, a lot of everything: houses, port infrastructure, energy facilities. There are victims. Unfortunately, there are dead. My condolences to the relatives and friends. The whole day today is the work of our air defense, responses to Russian strikes, the work of rescuers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, all services.
But today is a little different. Today we got the decision we were waiting for: the package of American support that we fought so hard for. And a very significant package that will be felt by our soldiers on the front lines, and by our cities and villages that are suffering from Russian terror. Today the vote of the United States House of Representatives took place.
Thank you to everyone who supported our package: this is a solution to protect lives. Thank you personally to Speaker Mike Johnson, to all American hearts who, like us in Ukraine, feel that Russian evil should definitely not win. I hope that the consideration of the package in the US Senate and its transmission to President Biden will be quite fast.
We appreciate every expression of support for our state and our independence, our people and our lives, which Russia so wants to bury in ruins. America has shown its leadership from the first days of the war. And it is such American leadership that is vital to preserving an international order in the world, based on rules and predictability of life for all peoples. Without a doubt, we will use American support to strengthen both our peoples and bring closer a just end to this war - a war that Putin must lose.
And I thank the entire team of Ukraine, each and every one who works and does everything to bring this result closer. Thank you to all the representatives of our state, all our diplomats who work to increase support for Ukraine, all representatives of the public sector, every volunteer who works, all friends of Ukraine. Thank you to my team. The world unites for Ukraine when Ukrainians unite for independence.
Today I want to recognize those of our people who have shown themselves the most in their work after the Russian strikes this week, helping people, protecting lives. These are the employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, our medical workers, police officers. Everyone who works on the ground after the strikes. Everyone who pulls people out of the rubble, stops fires, rescues the wounded. Thank you!
I would especially like to note… Dnipro: Denis Mikheev, Artem Serga, Dmytro Nikolayenko – guys from the State Emergency Service. Vitaliy Arkhipov – emergency doctor in the Dnipro region, Yevhen Golitsyn – paramedic of the «emergency service». I would also like to note the police officers: Oleksiy Bondarenko, Vitaliy Andriyanov. Thank you! Karina Kolisnychenko – dog handler from the Pavlohrad search and rescue squad. Thank you for every life saved. Odesa, State Emergency Service: Yuriy Sukhorukov, Vitaliy Telegus and Artem Kopechynsky. Thank you, guys! Chernihiv: Artem Lysenko – firefighter, Vadym Avramenko, Maksym Zhilko – also employees of the State Emergency Service in the region, as well as police officers Andriy Vovk, Bohdan Tkachuk. Thank you! Thank you also to Natalia Nosenok – a nurse who really cares about people, really helps.
Thank you to everyone who cares about Ukrainians, about life in our country, about their city, their community, about our entire state! And especially thank you to each of our soldiers. To all those who destroy the Russian occupier, who hold the front and thanks to this, Ukraine remains on the world map. We are doing everything so that our soldiers have as many opportunities as possible. So that this war ends as soon as possible on our, Ukrainian, terms.
Glory to Ukraine!
