Emergency dispatch service: why and how often do people call 104 in the Kharkiv region?
In November, the emergency gas brigades of the Kharkiv branch of Gazmerezh responded to calls from gas consumers 2,263 times. On average, gas engineers received 75 calls per day.
The main reason for emergency calls is gas leaks in gas pipelines in residential buildings.
Recommendations to help avoid dangers in your home when using gas:
- do not use a gas stove to heat the room;
- use only serviceable gas appliances, carry out their maintenance in a timely manner or contact specialists for repairs;
- check the draft of the smoke and ventilation ducts of the house;
- ventilate the room where gas equipment is operating;
- If you smell gas, call 104 immediately.
In the Kharkiv region, 30 emergency crews of the Kharkiv branch of Gazmerezh operate simultaneously. All crews work around the clock and seven days a week to promptly help people.
