Russian special services are trying to recruit Ukrainian teenagers to commit sabotage and terrorist attacks every day. The United News telethon, together with the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Police, and the dovidka.info project, has launched an educational campaign to warn parents and children about the danger.
Recruitment takes place through computer games, chat rooms, and social networks. Children receive offers of "easy money": taking pictures of military facilities, setting fire to an AFU vehicle, carrying a package with explosives, or performing other tasks that fall under articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine such as sabotage or terrorism.
The facts show that teenagers are not only perpetrators of crimes, but also victims. There have already been recorded cases when Russian special services blew up minors along with the explosives they were carrying.
«"The enemy does not care about the age or social status of the child. He can enter your home through a phone or computer. The vigilance of parents and timely conversations with children is the first defense," the SBU notes.
