RUBICON
The day will come when the Verkhovna Rada announces the decision to hold the next elections, which Ukrainians await as a Rubicon, beyond which a renewed life will come, and there will be an opportunity to gradually solve the problems of alienation of citizens from power, irresponsibility of elected officials, and excessive centralization.
These problems arise not from the fact that we deliberately elect the worst people to power, but from the fact that the existing system of government requires elected officials to work only as they are supposed to.
The electoral system, even at the election stage, lays the foundation for how the government will function. Secret voting means that no one is responsible for mistakes in the election; during the term, no one from the voters can hold the elected official accountable; so that communities do not prevent the center from doing "their own thing", self-government is being eliminated.
In words, the state cares about the purity of its ranks: as many as 6 (!) state institutions have been created to fight corruption. Budget money is guarded by guards appointed by the government! They themselves steal, they themselves appoint! Despite the creation of many anti-corruption bodies, the level of corruption remains a significant social problem.
Albert Einstein is credited with the statement: «"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.".
Let's assume that voters and legislators don't listen and organize elections according to the old scheme. What will that look like?
In small communities, voters know the candidates better personally, so public control is more effective. Voters have a generally formed opinion about the honesty and integrity of the candidates. Such elected officials are respected in the communities, there are fewer cases of corruption.
The situation is completely different in the center, "under the dome.".
In today's environment, we vote like this: candidates from different parties tell us what a beautiful and wonderful life they will have when they come to power. At the broad electoral level, we are forced to evaluate candidates only by their words.
Having received power, the deputies do not depend on us for 5 years, it is impossible for us to dismiss them. Why should the authorities keep their promises now? And in 5 years all the words will be forgotten and it will be possible to take part in competitions «in the art of hanging noodles on the ears» again.
We believe that the electoral system must change, and RESPONSIBLE VOTING (open voting, the right to withdraw one's vote, responsibility to the community for the elected official) will save Ukraine.
Only through GDP can you get a different result! REMEMBER:
«"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.".
