Chuguiv City Council reports that the epidemic situation in Ukraine with regard to the incidence of viral hepatitis A (hereinafter referred to as HAV) is characterized as unstable, with a tendency to worsen. In the Kharkiv region, the epidemic situation is considered unstable.
We draw your attention to the fact that the main routes of transmission of HAV are water and food, as well as active external and internal migration processes in Ukraine, intensive environmental pollution in the deoccupied and occupied territories (including drinking water), unsatisfactory technical condition of water intake facilities and water supply networks, problematic issues of sanitary cleaning of settlements, seasonal activation of the HAV pathogen. Kharkiv region is at risk for the possible occurrence of complications.
In this regard, we strongly recommend that public catering and food trade establishments strengthen anti-epidemic measures. Follow sanitary rules when preparing, transporting, storing, preparing and selling food products!
